When I was in high school I would carry around a digital camera to all my social gatherings, but it wasn't until 2010 that I OFFICIALLY became interested in photography. I didn't know what I wanted to go to collage for, so I decided to take some photography and business classes at Greenville Tech, where I learned film and darkroom techniques and lots of info about business. While taking those classes I grasped on to all those skills I had learned and knew one day I'd use them for my future.

A few months after I started collage I met my husband through some mutual friends at a Christmas party. I was his very first girlfriend, which is super sweet, and we were pretty much inseparable. Our birthdays are only 5 days apart (I'm older) and he calls me a cougar because of it... HE thinks it's funny... ha!

After we got married in 2013, Joe bought me my first fancy camera. I started out taking photos for fun of my oldest son, then quickly that turning into me taking other's family portraits. As time passed and 2 other sons were added to the family I began to take my business from part time to full time. We've now been married for 10.5 years and together we raise 3 little men: Bryson (9), Owen (7) and Maxwell (5). Mommy is the most frequent name I'm called, and it really is the BEST!

And.... If you've been following along for a while, you also know that my parents own Aurora Farms Event Venue, which is where I shoot most of my weddings! Pretty cool, right?!

SO WHY DID I START PHOTOGRAPHY?

Well, simply put, I am in love with love!

I love how love makes our raw emotions come out without even thinking. Love is shown through our smile, embrace, and body language. Love is SO beautiful and is what I absolutely love capturing. Those special, everyday moments deserve to be documented and is THE way to forever be remembered.

The more I shoot weddings, the more I fall in love with it and all the sweet little details of each and every one of my couples.

The greatest joy I get from documenting couples is making friendships and connecting with them, because every bride and groom deserves to have an AMAZING wedding experience (and make a friend in the process!).

And when it comes to family portraits I can't help but smile! Having a family of my own, I see just how fast time flies, and having some sweet moments at each stage of life turned into heirlooms makes my heart sing. Our family is our legacy and I'd love to help you document your loved ones in a way that will always be cherished, even generations to come!
